Roots and Branches 5 Element Qigong is a form of medical Qigong practiced to strengthen and heal the body, clarify the mind and inspire the spirit.

Roots and Branches is a fully integrated approach bringing together Tai Chi and the Five Element system of medicine. These traditions spring from the same understanding of nature and natural cycles, and compliment each other precisely.

You will learn moves and postures to help you feel more balanced, relaxed and focussed.

Based on your condition you will also receive specific moves and postures to address your individual state of health. You can then practise these moves and postures at home to give you daily support towards regaining and maintaining your health and well-being.

Roots and Branches can also greatly support your health in between your acupuncture treatments.

Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient exercise which embodies China’s most profound concepts and principles of health and movement. It offers true harmony between body and mind.

Based on softness and awareness (rather than force and resistance) T’ai Chi Chuan (also referred to as Tai Chi, Tai Ji, or Taijiquan) has been recognized for centuries as both a method of self-cultivation and an unexcelled form of self defense. Practiced at a slow and even speed, Tai Chi promotes relaxation, straight posture, and balance.

Tai Chi movements are widely acknowledged to help calm the emotions, focus the mind, and strengthen the immune system.

In a very real sense, Tai Chi helps us to stay younger as we grow older, thus making an outstanding contribution to our overall health and well-being.
